As part of the Rotary International Peace Fellowship, a Rotary Peace Fellow at Makerere University, Uganda wants to connect 20 students and young journalists in Zimbabwe who wish to gain practical knowledge in the peace-building
field. The four-month training programme, which is the first of its kind in Zimbabwe, is designed to equip journalists with the knowledge and tools required in conflict sensitive reporting and peace journalism. Successful applicants will also get an opportunity to be mentored by a renowned peace Journalism expert, Dr William Tayeebwa, Head of Journalism and Communication department at Makerere University.

Who can apply?

Journalism students, recent graduates and journalists at the
beginning of their career from across the country’s ten provinces are welcome
to apply for the four-month traineeship programme. Applicants must be between
18 and 35 years old.
